Obituary of Paul Irvin Miller
Paul Irvin Miller, Sr. went home with the Lord peacefully on October 12, 2019, in
Frederick, Maryland. He was born on December 16, 1914 in Moss Creek,
Pennsylvania and was predeceased by his Wife, Mildred C. Miller (Sullivan),
Parents, Archibald and Edna Miller, Brother, William Miller and Sister, Alene
Nejman.
Paul grew up in Braddock, Pennsylvania and graduated from Braddock High
School. As a young man Paul came to Maryland with the Civilian Conservation
Corps. which led him to meet his loving wife of 44 years Mildred until her death in
1982. Paul was also a Private in the Army in 1945. Paul (Lovingly referred to as
Pop by his family) was known for being hard working and had a no nonsense
approach to life. Paul had many jobs over his 104 years, milk man, cook,
restaurant owner, just to name a few. His strong constitution and love for work,
food and black coffee was always a topic between family members as they would
laugh about his incredible health, appetite and longevity. His family will miss his
wicked sense of humor and his infectious smile.
Paul is survived by his 5 Children and 2 Sons-in-law,Paul Irvin Miller Jr., Evelyn
Arlene Timberlake, Gregory Lynn Miller, Barbara Carol Abshire, Son-in-law Steve
Abshire and Brenda Starr Hoyle, Son -in-law Mike Hoyle, 14 Grandchildren, 24
Great Grandchildren, and 15 Great Great Grandchildren; Sister, Clarissa Haney
and Brother, Robert Miller.
A Memorial service is being planned, family and friends will be notified when the
arrangements have been finalized. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to
Hospice of Frederick County, Maryland, or your favorite charity.
